About This Course

The Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) course is a comprehensive program designed to prepare individuals for working offshore in the oil and gas industry. Participants will undergo training in essential safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and survival techniques necessary for offshore operations.

• Offshore Hazards and Risks : Understanding the hazards and risks associated with working offshore, including fire, explosion, drowning, and environmental factors.
• Safety Induction : Familiarizing with offshore safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
• Emergency Response : Learning how to respond effectively to offshore emergencies, including fire, evacuation, helicopter incidents, and abandoning the platform.
• Helicopter Safety and Underwater Escape : Gaining knowledge and practical skills in helicopter safety procedures, including HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), and survival techniques in the event of a helicopter ditching.
• Sea Survival : Developing sea survival skills, such as donning and using life jackets, entering the water safely, and deploying life rafts.
• First Aid and Medical Emergency : Understanding basic first aid techniques and procedures for managing medical emergencies in an offshore environment.
